Care coordinators weather the cold as the CCAC strike continues

Local care coordinators are entering into day five of their strike. Since last Friday, the Ontario Nurses Association’s 10 Community Care Access Centres have been at the picket lines after contract negotiations failed. Care coordinators in the North Simcoe-Muskoka LHIN are protesting in Huntsville today. The group says they are in it for the long haul and won’t stop until the employer agreed with their request for a 1.4 percent two-year contract. Some of these care coordinators say they haven’t seen a raise in over five years.
