CCAC strike vote happens tonight

Care Coordinators in our area may take to the picket lines tomorrow.  The Ontario Nurses Association’s 10 Community Care Access Centres have been trying to get a new contract since last March. The ONA says the main dispute is over wages. The ONA says the goal is to get all CCACs at the same wage scale, which the employers would not agree to. Tonight about 3,500 care coordinators are going to a strike vote. Professionals at the North Simcoe-Muskoka LHIN will be affected if the strike happens.
