After a week filled with sunshine, the snow has returned.

An Alberta clipper is sailing across Ontario today and tonight, bringing a general snowfall to many regions including Parry Sound and Muskoka.

Environment Canada is predicting a total of 5 to 12cm of snow will fall across our region then a cold front associated with the clipper is expected to bring brisk and gusty northwesterly winds beginning this evening.

Blowing snow in areas exposed to the stiff northwesterly flow is expected tonight as the cold air moves in and the snow from this clipper will likely have considerable impact on the afternoon and early evening commute home from work.
