Sudbury man dead following three vehicle collision on Hwy 69
A 22 year old Sudbury man is dead following a three vehicle accident on Highway 69 Friday night.
O.P.P. report that shortly before 8pm a Dodge Durango pulling a trailer was travelling southbound on Highway 69 in Henvey Township, when it lost control and veered in front of a northbound transport.A southbound Mitsubishi Eclipse hit debris left by the collision.
The 22 year old driver of the Durango, from Sudbury, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger sustained minor injuries as did the driver and passenger of the transport. All were treated and released. The driver of the Mitsubishi was not injured.
West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) closed Highway 69 for several hours. The Britt Fire Department, EMS and the Ministry of Environment also assisted at the scene. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
