Reva Frame, Director of Corporate and Community Strategy for the Town of Huntsville, says the town’s Strategic Plan is “entirely based on the feedback we heard from the community.”
A draft of the plan has been posted on the town’s website and Frame is asking for the public’s feedback.
“This is our north star,” writes Nancy Alcock on the third page of the Strategic Plan. “It is a vision of where we are headed and what we want Huntsville to become, but foundationally, it is based on deeper connections with you. We are committed to responsible decision-making, engaging with our residents, and growing together.”
A survey will be open until Dec. 12. Hard copies of it can be found at Huntsville Town Hall, the Canada Summit Centre, and the Huntsville Public Library.
“At this point in the process, we’re looping back with residents to make sure they see their priorities reflected in the draft plan,” she says. “Since this strategy will guide town staff and council for years to come, it’s important we have it right.”
After this round of community feedback, town staff will huddle and work on finalizing the Strategic Plan. Frame says it will be presented to council during the Jan. council meeting and, once adopted, will be shared with the community.
