Five people dead after HWY. 60 crash

UPDATE, Nov. 27 @ 9:00 a.m.: Police say the Huntsville woman was pronounced dead at the scene, rather than in hospital. One of the occupants of the other vehicle was taken to hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.

Two cars crashed on HWY. 60 near Hidden Valley Rd. in Huntsville leaving five people dead. 

Provincial Const. Dana Morris says Huntsville OPP were called to the scene around 11:10 p.m. on Nov. 25. 

One of the vehicles had four people in it, all between the ages of 15 and 17 years old, from the North York and Richmond Hill areas, while the other was driven by a 42-year-old woman from Huntsville. Morris says four people were pronounced dead at the scene, while one was taken to hospital and succumbed to their injuries.

HWY. 60 was closed for multiple hours while police investigated.  

Morris says no more details will be released at this time.  

She asks anyone who may have witnessed or has video of the crash to reach out to the Huntsville OPP or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
