BBBS of Muskoka beats goal at Bowl For Kids' Sake

The community has shown their support for youth mentorship. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Muskoka hosted their annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake event in Huntsville on Monday and yesterday. Longest standing board member Mark Zinnige says this year went way beyond their expectations.

Last year, the organization raised about $8,500. The next Bowl For Kids event happens at Riverside Inn this Sunday.

Bowl For Kids’ Sake is one of the organization’s biggest fundraising event of the year. All the money raised goes towards youth mentorships. Zinnige says it costs about $1,300 to do a match and sustain it over the course of the year.

Meantime, it’s an exciting time for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Muskoka. The organization has just gone through a strategic planning process. Zinnige says it’s a time of renewal for them. He says they need more horse power for continued success.
