Multiple snowmobiles stolen from “secure storage compound” in Gravenhurst

Police are looking for the people responsible for breaking into a storage unit on Crawford Rd. in Gravenhurst and taking two red 2015 Ski-Doo snowmobiles.

Provincial Constable Taryn Molnar says the break-and-enter happened around 1 AM on Dec. 2 when the storage facility’s operations manager says the suspects made a hole in the fence and cut the chains from the electric gate.

Along with the two snow machines, a 2021 black NEO enclosed trailer was taken with a red 2005 Ski-Doo snowmobile inside.

Molnar says police believe the other two snowmobiles were loaded into the trailer before the suspects left through the main gate.

Police are asking anyone with surveillance footage from Crawford, Jones, or Winhara Rd. around 1 AM to review it. It’s believed the suspects were driving a light-coloured pick-up truck.

Molnar says to call the Bracebridge OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
