The daytime burning ban for Huntsville and Lake of Bays has been lifted.
Huntsville Lake of Bays Fire Chief Gary Monahan says it comes as conditions change from the warm, dry weather of last week.
“It’s all cold temperatures [on the forecast],” says Monahan. “Basically, the conditions are going to be not favourable for burning because of the cold temperatures and dampness.”
The ban was put in place Nov. 9, after the department battled multiple wildfires over the span of a few days.
