Algonquin Park seeking donations; winter activities open over the holidays

With the end of this year fast approaching, the Friends of Algonquin Park are already starting to think about programs for next year. David Legros is the Natural Heritage Education Leader for Ontario Parks and he says they’re asking for donations.

Legros says the park is infamous for their Winter in the Wild event that happens in February and the Wolf Howl programs that happen in the summer. In the meantime, he talks about some of their more popular winter activities.

Legros says the visitor’s centre is closed from December 24 – 26 but people can still use the park for winter activities. He explains what activities people can enjoy right now.
