Stephenson Road 1 Bridge might be replaced

Huntsville and Bracebridge have finished phases one and two of the Municipal Class Environmental Study on the Stephenson Road 1 bridge. The study outlines improvement ideas to address the bridge’s deficiencies. Solutions in the document include do nothing to the bridge, fix it or replace it. The study shows replacing the bridge is the preferred option. The phase one and two report is on display for public review from November 20th until December 20th during regular business hours at the public works department in Huntsville and Bracebridge. The bridge is located about one kilometre east of Highway 11. Both towns are planning to go ahead with design and construction of this project pending necessary approvals and funding. It is also available at the C.C. Tatham & Associates office in Bracebridge.
