Zehaf-Bibeau wanted to go to prison

The man who shot and killed a soldier on at the National War Memorial tried to admit himself to prison three years ago. Thirty-two year old Michael Zehaf-Bibeau was living in B.C. at the time, and had told a judge that he wanted to go to jail to break his crack-cocaine addiction. Zehaf-Bibeau may have been living in a B.C. homeless shelter as early as two weeks ago. The shooter was also charged with robbery and uttering threats back in 2011.
