Muskoka Hornets Minor Bantam Reps headed to Provincials

The Muskoka Hornets Minor Bantam Rep team traveled to Vaughan on the weekend. The team was competing in the qualifiers in the hope of securing a spot in the Provincials. The team played the Bolton Braves in their first game, winning 5-2. They were also successful in their second game against the Thornhill Reds, with a score of 3-2. With these two wins, the Minor Bantam Rep team will now compete in the Provincials in Brantford on the Labour Day Weekend.

In addition, the Muskoka Hornets Mosquito and Bantam Selects also participated in provincial playdowns this weekend.  Both teams faired well going 2 and 2.  The young 10 and 11 year old Mosquitos hosted their qualifier in Bracebridge and Huntsville, losing twice to Richmond Hill while posting wins against Collingwood and Barrie.

Meanwhile, the Bantams battled hard in Innisfil, losing their opener to Orangeville before posting wins against Markham and the host Innisfil Cardinals.  The Bantams ended with a tough loss to a very strong team from Stayner.
