Funding announced for Muskoka businesses

Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement dropped some big money in the riding yesterday to help enhance broadband services. In Huntsville he announced more than $1.4 million which will also help small Muskoka businesses increase productivity and competitiveness. Here’s the breakdown: FedNor funding of $892,903 will support the ongoing operations of the Muskoka Community Network for a three-year period. They will also receive $531,500 to help small and medium sized businesses incorporate e-business technologies into their operations. The total also includes funding for a youth intern.
