Registration is now open for this year’s Paddle for Fairvern. The event is happening on August 9th in Huntsville with funds going towards the building fund. Chair of Paddle for Fairvern Rob Laver says the building fund was created after the Ontario Ministry of Heath issued new design standards for all the nursing homes.

This is the second year for Paddle for Fairvern. Laver says last year’s event was a huge success.

Over $40,000 was raised towards the building fund. Paddle for Fairvern is hoping to meet or exceed that goal this year. In total, the building fund has about $80,000.
Paddle for Fairvern has developed a website where you can register as a paddler or volunteer. You can also sponsor a paddler or make a general donation to the building fund. The website will have all the event details as well.
