Residents are encouraged to think about rail safety this week. Starting today, it’s public rail safety week in Parry Sound-Muskoka and across Canada where it’s in the public’s interest to raise awareness on reducing avoidable accidents, injuries, and damage caused by collisions at level railway crossings.
Operation Lifesaver is a public/private partnership aimed at rail companies, governments, police services, the media, and other agencies working together to raise public rail safety awareness.
