Province invests over $1-million to improve access to physiotherapy

Over 3,500 seinors in Muskoka and North Simcoe are going to benefit from new funding for new publicly-funded physiotherapy clinics. The province is providing $1,117,584 to support seven clinics, which includes Closing the Gap in Huntsville and the Centric Health Physiotherapy and Wellness in Bracebridge.

The province says many communities across Ontario did not have access to publicly-funded clinic-based physiotherapy and this new funding addresses that issue. The Minister Responsible for Seniors Affairs, Mario Sergio, says by working with community partners, the province is creating and sustaining supportive environments that help seniors live healthy, active and meaningful lives.
