The investigation into the closure of highway 400 near Vasey Road in Severn Township continues. At around 3:30am this morning, emergency crews were called after a van that was travelling south lost control hitting a snow bank and flipping over. One driver stopped to help. A second driver in a transport truck then attempted to stop, but jackknifed striking the helping man. The trailer stopped sideways across the highway causing a fourth driver to run into it. One man died and a second is in hospital. The two other drivers were not injured. Highway 400’s southbound lanes are expected to reopen today at noon.
