OPP and OFSC trail officers are stepping up their presence on area trailsĀ for the Family Day Long Weekend. To date, 17 provincial offence notices have been issued to snowmobilers for having no trail permit, vehicle documentation or helmets. In one case, officers were nearly hit by a speeding sled operated by an aggressive driver. With Family Day around the corner, you are being warned to make sure you have proper documentation for your sled and a proper fitting helmet. You should also obey all trail speed limits.
