The Lake of Bays 2014 budget gets the thumps up from council. Mayor Bob Young says it was great news to see the town is in a surplus this year.

Young says many factors contributed to that surplus.

Council also approved putting some funds towards the brushing and ditching of their roads.

Young says fixing the roads is one of their top priorities.
