Black ice stops local bus from completing its route

Students on bus route 233 in Muskoka had to be taken to school on another bus this morning. The Trillium Lakelands District School Board says the bus was going up the hill on Britannia Road at South Portage in Lake of Bays and started sliding because of black ice. Four students were on the bus at the time. The school board says the driver decided it wasn’t safe to complete the route and called another bus. A new bus completed the route backwards and picked up the four kids. The driver walked the kids safely to the new bus and all students made it to school by 9:15.
