Hockey and Basketball wins for AHSS

The Almaguin Highlands Secondary School Junior Boys Basketball team competed in the single “A” classification Georgian Bay Championship game Wednesday in Penetanguishine.  They played against Penetanguishine High School and won the game 64-39 in front of a rambunctious home crowd.  Top scorers for the Highlanders were Connor Martin with 24 points and Corey Forest with 23.  Also on Wednesday, Almaguin’s varsity girl’s hockey team played a double-header versus Parry Sound High School.  They won the games 3-0 and 4-0 respectively. Fiona Weaver earned the shut outs in both games. Claudia Schlosser scored two goals.
