A snow squall watch is now in effect for Parry Sound-Muskoka and Almaguin Highlands. Environment Canada says lake effect flurries and snow squall have developed overnight over Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. We may see 10 to 15 centimetres of snow today. Near zero visibility on our roads and highways is the main threat. Drivers should expect sudden reductions to visibility and accumulating snow on untreated roads. We can expect the snow squalls to weaken by tomorrow morning. Meantime, the snow squall watch also affects areas in and around Orillia and Barrie.
