A big name in Canadian art world is coming to Muskoka

Canadian wildlife artist Robert Bateman will be the keynote speaker at the 3rd annual Muskoka Summit on the Environment taking place in Bracebridge May 8th and 9th. The theme of this year’s Summit is Environment vs Economy.

A naturalist and conservationist, Bateman’s paintings are found in museums and major art collections around the world.

His presentation is about bursting the petroleum bubble and it’s expected to be the highlight of the two-day event. A number of leading experts from across North America will also explore the relationship between the environment and economy

The summit is happening at the Rene Caisse Theatre and will end with a panel discussion hosted by CBC’s Paul Kennedy that will be broadcast on his award-winning program Ideas.
