Three COVID-19 cases added Tuesday by Health Unit

Another three cases of COVID-19 have been added in Muskoka over the last 24 hours.

It comes after the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) has added three new cases of the virus. 

The new cases are:

  • A woman from Bracebridge between the ages of 65 and 79. SMDHU reports she got it from close contact with another case.
  • A woman from Gravenhurst between the ages of 18 and 34. The cause is still under investigation.
  • A woman from Gravenhurst between the ages of 45 and 64. The cause is still under investigation.

There have been a total of 155 cases of the coronavirus in Muskoka since the pandemic began. Of those, 28 have been in Bracebridge and 36 in Gravenhurst.

The Health Unit reports 109 people have recovered from the virus and three people have died in Muskoka.

SMDHU has reported 67 new cases of the virus in Simcoe. That brings the total in the region to 3,732 with 2,420 recoveries and 67 people dying.
