OPP making sure snowmobiling safety remains top priority this season

The OPP wants to make sure snowmobiling safety remains a top priority this season. Last year Central Region OPP investigated 36 crashes. Out of those, nine resulted in deaths on roads and lakes. Police say 50 percent of crashes are caused by speed. Drivers are reminded to slow down and to remember that no ice is safe ice.
