South Muskoka Shield heading into a busy weekend

The South  Muskoka Shield are headed for another busy weekend. Tomorrow night at 8pm they take on the Grey Highlands Bravehearts in Gravenhurst.  The last two times these teams met, the South  Muskoka Shield won by a substantial score so the Bravehearts will be looking to redeem themselves.

On Sunday the team travels up Highway 141 to Humphrey where they’ll take on the Sequin Huskies for the first time this season.  Sequin has 5 more games than the Shield under their belts this season and are currently in first place.  A win here for the South  Muskoka Shield will pay off as they near the playoffs.

The South  Muskoka Shield are also pleased to announce 2 new faces to their lineup.  Tim Tarvis, a forward from St Charles, Illinois and Mark Spong another forward from North Vancouver, B.C. will take to the ice this weekend.

The South  Muskoka Shield are currently in 3rd place with a 17-3-0 record.
