The South Muskoka Shield begin their battle for the Russel Cup tonight in Gravenhurst against the Mattawa Voyageurs. Puck drop is at 830.
Donny Danroth led the league this year in assists and total points while Andrei Novikov led the league in scoring. The Shield also broke the GMHL record for most goals scored by a team in the regular season.
The series is slated to be the best of 5 with the next home game scheduled for this Friday.
