Local swimmers make their mark on provincial and national stages

This weekend, the Muskoka Aquatic Club (MUSAC) had four swimmers compete at the Winter Festival in Brantford and the Eastern Nationals in Windsor. Thirteen year old Breanna Carroll and 10 year old Spencer Jackson, both students at Monsignor Michael O’leary in Bracebridge, competed against the best in the province. Carroll placed 9th in 100 Fly and Jackson took 7th in 100 Freestyle. Two Bracebridge high school students, Emma Barnes and Hayley Morris, competed against the best in Eastern Canada. Barnes posted 10th place in 100 Backstroke and Morris captured 24th in the 50 Breaststroke.
