OPP are reporting five snowmobile deaths in Ontario this season

The OPP and the OFSC have partnered to promote safe riding on trails. Police say 18 snowmobile deaths happened last season and five this season so far. In most cases speed was a factor, with drinking being the second highest cause. Police say the unstable weather we’ve had across the district has caused unsafe conditions. Both the OPP and OFSC suggests you consider the conditions you’re riding in, drive on well maintained trails and help make snowmobiling safe across the province. For up-to-date trail conditions, contact your snowmobile club.
