Bracebridge Mayor thanks the thankers

Let’s thank the thankers. At Bracebridge Council this week, Mayor Graydon Smith took time to say how much it means to Town employees when they hear they’re doing a great job. He and other councillors say many residents phoned to say how thankful they were for the Town’s prompt snow removal efforts during the recent storms. Noting there’s “not a lot of gold stars in this business,” Smith said it’s been an exceptional past 30 days with plowers and others working maximum hours. It was hard on equipment and everybody, and Smith says kudos to those who called in to say thanks when they didn’t have to.
