OPP investigate thefts from vehicles

GRAVENHURST, ON-A string of complaints of items being stolen from vehicles has led the Bracebridge OPP to launch an investigation. 

On August 15th, several people in Gravenhurst called the police as high-value items were being stolen from the inside of vehicles, including electronic devices and cash. 

Police were able to track the devices to an address on Peter Street and recovered some of the items. 

Police charged a 30-year-old from Gravenhurst with possession of property obtained by crime and mischief and is set to appear in court on October 20th.

In addition to this, video footage provided by another person that depicted an individual trying to enter a parked vehicle in their driveway at 3:00 a.m. led officers to charge a 35-year-old from Huntsville with trespassing. They will appear in court on October 20th.
