Bracebridge supports Crime Stoppers, which is looking for volunteers in our area

Crime Stoppers is looking for volunteers in our area. The Simcoe-Dufferin-Muskoka Crime Stoppers recently had their flag raised at Bracebridge Town hall. Mayor Graydon Smith says the Town is pleased to continue its support of the organization. In the fourth quarter of 2013, 498 anonymous tips were received with almost 700 follow ups to exiting tips, resulting in almost 1,000 calls to the program. Crime stoppers takes anonymous info from the public and uses it to solve crimes. The 2013 tips helped police clear 29 cases and resulted in 42 arrests and 92 charges being laid. To become a volunteer, contact Gracie Smith at 705-687-2212 Ext 79762
