Ontario Northland partners with Metrolinx to offer new Muskoka-bound travel option

Ontario Northland is offering a new option for Muskoka weekend travellers.

In partnership with Metrolinx, the bus service has a new stop at the Allandale Waterfront GO station in Barrie. This will allow travellers to take the GO Train from Toronto on Friday and then jump on the bus from Barrie to Gravenhurst, Bracebridge or Huntsville. The bus will then return to Barrie in the afternoon on Sunday or holiday Monday.

Ontario Northland Director of Communications Rebecca McGlynn says this pilot project is a great option for travellers that want to get away from the heavy weekend traffic.

She says this pilot can open the door to other Cottage Country route options in the future.

The new route will start on August 3rd and run until the September long weekend.
