Muskoka Grown gets the nod from Health Canada to grow marijuana crops

A marijuana facility in Muskoka is hitting a major milestone.

Muskoka Grown Ltd has been given a licence to legally grow marijuana from Health Canada. CEO David Grand says this is a pivotal step towards the final goal of producing the product for sale at dispensaries across Canada. The next step is growing two crops, which will need to be tested by Health Canada before Muskoka Grown can legally distribute the product.

Grand says the current 65,000 square foot facility has the ability to produce about 4,000 kilograms of dried marijuana each year. The company already has expansion in mind as it has purchased 40 acres on an adjacent lot.
