Vandalism is forcing Bracebridge to close two of its beaches this spring.
Officials say dangerous debris like fishing hooks, sewing needles and broken glass has been discovered at Kirby’s Beach Park and Bracebridge Bay Park. The town is working to clear up this debris but is blocking public use due to safety concerns. Municipal crews are checking the other beaches in Bracebridge for similar vandalism.
The OPP has been called to investigate.
