O.P.P. says this week is not ideal for sledding in Muskoka!

This is not a good week for snowmobiling in the region.

That’s according to O.P.P. Central Region Media Relations Coordinator Peter Leon.

Leon says all the pools of water forming on sledding trails could make ice seem safer than it is.

Leon adds the extra water will also affect the trails bases.

The O.P.P. wants to remind sledders that no ice is safe ice, and to always check the ice before going on it.
