Huntsville residents will soon be able to honour a loved one at the Algonquin Theatre and Summit Centre arenas

Memorialize a loved one in one of Huntsville’s most popular locations. Huntsville town staff is recommending council give the green light to allow residents to able to buy seat dedication plaques at the Algonquin Theatre, Jack Bionda arena and Don Lough arena. The plaques will cost $250 and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

At the Algonquin Theatre, the plaques will go on the arm of the chair and the money collected will go into the town’s Algonquin Theatre Reserve Account. There are 155 seats in the theatre that can be dedicated. The Jack Bionda arena has 443 seats available for sponsorship and the Don Lough arena has 1,354 seats. The plaques will go on the arm of the chair at the Don Lough arena, and on the back of the chair at the Jack Bionda arena.

The money collected from the arena dedications will go into the Sports Memorabilia Reserve Account. Once the sales begin, the town will post an order form on its website.
