Parking concerns along West Street North raised at Huntsville council

Huntsville is going to be looking into parking concerns on West Street North. The road is off of Main Street in between Brunel and Centre, and it’s narrow with limited space to get through when cars are parked on both sides.

The town was sent a letter from a resident who lives in the area after the August 16th ON Tour concert at River Mill Park about the issue. Deputy Mayor Karen Terziano says a concert truck was blocking the road which is what sparked the complaint. She says residents in the area are asking for parking restrictions on one side of the road, as they claim emergency vehicles can’t get through when cars are parked on both sides.

This isn’t the first time council has heard concerns about West Street North, as concerns were raised after the Ironman event earlier this summer. The town is going to look into some options before any decisions are made.
