Bracebridge library report is raising questions from local residents

Bracebridge council is going to be hearing from local citizens about proposed library changes. Back in December, Brian Slocum and Marg Walton asked the town to consider expanding the library into the back parking lot. However, that idea was not part of a report presented to council last week from a consultant company which is reviewing the project. The two want their proposal to be properly reviewed because it could be the best option to keep the library downtown.
The consultant suggested moving the library to the proposed arena on Salmon Ave versus renovating the current building would be the best financial option. Slocum and Walton will be at Wednesday’s meeting at 5:00pm to talk to the town about the project and ask for an architectural study of their proposal.
