Huntsville residents impacted by Tuesday’s rain can fill out an impact survey to let the province know

Huntsville wants to hear from home owners affected by Tuesday’s record-breaking rainfall. The town has opened up a resident impact survey to find out which areas were the hardest hit, and where the extent of the damage happened.

The town says it has been in contact with the provincial government and is helping it gather information on the impact on homes, small businesses, farms and non-profits.

Town officials recorded around 100 mm of rain fell on Tuesday. Many roads were washed out, including Deerhurst Drive which is still closed. The rain also forced emergency construction repairs on Highway 60 which caused detours and traffic delays.

More information on disaster recovery is on the Ontario website, and you can find the impact survey on the town website.
