A few extra dollars at the checkout are helping kids find mentors in Muskoka.
Gagnon’s Your Independent Grocer has donated over $5,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Muskoka.
Organization Executive Director Rebecca Paul says the money was collected from shoppers while they were checking out at the grocery store.
Paul says the non-profit organization really relies on these donations to run programs that support local kids. The funds raised will be going towards the mentorship program, partnering young boys and girls with adult volunteers.
