Huntsville Otters announce the first four players signed for the upcoming hockey season

The Huntsville Otters coaching staff are making moves for the upcoming season. The team has announced its first four signings for the upcoming season.

Forward Curtis Ballantyne is back for his third season with the club. The 20-year-old registered 26 points in 36 games last season. Nineteen-year-old Cody Jones is also returning this season. He split his time last year between forward and defence, and registered 14 points in 34 games.

New to the team this year is 17-year-old Cole Earl, who comes from Huntsville Minor Hockey and had 49 points in 40 games last season. The final player signed is 16-year-old Dryden Rivet. The teen played AAA with the Sudbury Wolves last year, registering 11 points in 35 games.

The Otters has a change in coaching staff this year as well. Taking over for Rocky Clarke this year are Brent Tomlinson and Marc Gagnon, who coached for the Powassan Voodoos last year.

The team says more players will be signed in the coming weeks.
