If you get a visit from a door-to-door solicitor in Muskoka, ask for ID.
This is the message from the District of Muskoka, which has had a few reports of people claiming to sell water treatment equipment.
District officials say there has been a company contracted to replace water meters, but you will get some kind of official notice first before they visit your home.
If someone knocks on your door and doesn’t have ID, they’re not from the district and you shouldn’t give out any personal information or let them inside.
