A decision on the Waterloo Summit Centre could be made tonight. On the council agenda is the final presentation from Accelerate Muskoka, which has been in talks with the town to use the building as a place for start-up companies.
Council is expected to decide if it wants to continue working with the business, or instead issue a Request for Proposal so other ideas can be brought forward, which hasn’t happened since the University of Waterloo backed of its lease.
Council did talk about issuing that RFP last month, but tabled it so Accelerate Muskoka could finalize its plans.
Tonight’s meeting is at 7:00pm at town hall.
