The Huntsville Lake of Bays Fire Department is putting the call out for volunteers. The fire department is looking for part-time firefighters to respond to fires, medical emergencies, rescues, and other calls.
Candidates have to pass two stages of Ontario Fire Administration Candidate Testing Services. That means doing physical testing, like a 60-second sit up test, a flexibility test, and a tread mill test while wearing an oxygen mask. On top of that, candidates will be tested on their reading, mathematical, and map reading skills.
The fire department is hosting an information night next week for anyone who is interested. It’s on June 8th, at 7:00pm at the Huntsville Fire Hall at 1 Payne Drive. More details are on the fire department recruitment website.
