Environment Canada gives an inside look to the summer in Muskoka ahead of Thursday’s official forecast

A typical Muskoka summer is in the forecast this year. Environment Canada Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says it’s looking like the temperature will average out to be around 24 degrees in June, and up to 25 in July at the height of summer.

Coulson says the area could also get some cooler days over the summer. He says the month of May will end in the high teens with some rain. But, the weekend is supposed to warm up and dry out. The forecast is currently calling for a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 20 for the first weekend in June.

Environment Canada’s official summer forecast comes out on Thursday, and Coulson says no major changes are expected before then. The first day of summer is June 21st.
