Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare looking for two patient advisors to help improve healthcare

If you’ve been a hospital patient in Muskoka recently, your feedback could help to improve care. Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is on the lookout for two patient consultants for its advisory board.

The committee gives input on program development, patient safety, and communications for patients and families. Chief Quality and Nursing Executive Karen Fleming says anyone who has experience as a patient, or as a family member of a patient, can give unique input which is valuable to improving care.

The Patient and Family Advisory Committee was formed in January of 2017, and the two volunteers will begin on September 1st, 2017. The committee meets every month.

The application deadline is June 30th, and the form is on the MAHC website.
