The memories of a few Muskoka seniors are helping build a future for a local family.
The creators of ‘At Your Age?’, a published collection of short stories and poems from the residents at Castle Peak Retirement Home, are donating some of the book’s proceeds to Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North.
After over 1,200 copies of the book, creators Edith White, Eve Jones and Liam Dwyer have been donating the funds to various community organizations, including $1,000 to the local chapter of Habitat.
The book is a celebration of Canada’s 150th featuring 52 entries from residents aged 70 to 104.
So far, over $9,000 has been donated to various non-profit organizations from book sales.
