A Bracebridge man is facing first-degree murder charges.
On Friday night, police arrested the 67-year-old after a 64-year-old woman was found on the ground at a Wellington Street home.
Life saving efforts used on the woman by first responders were unsuccessful.
Police blocked off Wellington Street between Smith Street and Santa’s Village Road while the investigation was underway.

The court has imposed a publication ban and Bracebridge OPP will not be releasing any further details.
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in Bracebridge court on Tuesday for a bail hearing.
